Engage—Build—Sustain…Be Nimble…Have Fun

Engage:

At the heart of our vision is the commitment to engage actively and wholeheartedly in our duties with one another, with members of other Flotillas and Divisions, with partner agencies at the federal, state, local, tribal, and private sector levels, and with the recreational boating public.  We recognize that every operation, every outreach effort with the public, every time we support the Coast Guard, and every time we mentor and train our fellow Auxiliarists is an opportunity to make a positive and lasting impact.  We engage with unwavering dedication, ensuring that our actions reflect our steadfast commitment to safeguarding our waters and serving the nation.

 Build:

Building represents our continuous commitment to growth, individually, as a Flotilla, and as a part of Team Coast Guard.  We strive to build our knowledge, skills, and capabilities, recognizing that a well-prepared team is a resilient and effective one. We build bridges with our communities, fostering trust and collaboration.  We build upon our rich heritage, embracing innovation to adapt to evolving challenges effectively.

 Sustain:

Sustainability is at the core of our activities.  We must look to our needs as an organization in the long-term, operationally, logistically, and administratively.  We strive to make the Coast Guard Auxiliary a viable and contributing partner of Team Coast Guard today, tomorrow, and in the years to come. Whether it's protecting our coastal ecosystems or maintaining the public's confidence in our abilities, we take the long-term view.  We aim to be a reliable and enduring force for good.

 Be Nimble:

In an ever-changing world, our ability to be nimble is crucial. We embrace flexibility and agility, recognizing that adaptability is key to meeting emerging threats and challenges. As part of an organization that embraces “Semper Paratus” as our motto, we stay one step ahead by being nimble, learning from our experiences, and continuously improving our plans, policies, procedures, and processes.

Have Fun:

While our responsibilities are demanding, we believe in the importance of enjoying our journey together.  Having fun reflects our commitment to camaraderie, fellowship, unity, and well-being within our Flotilla.  We create a positive environment that fosters friendships, morale, and enthusiasm for our mission.
